HyperCubes

A HyperCube is a data container designed to hold, and provide optimized access to, multidimensional data.

Dimensions

A Dimension is a property that can group and classify Measures.

Each row of a HyperCube represents a dimensional aggregate.

Measures

A Measure represents an observed, derived, or recorded quantity.

Underlying each row in a HyperCube is the set of values for each Measure that belong to that specific dimensional aggregate.
